Smartphones – What Did We Do Without Them?

Today's technology is certainly amazing, isn't it? If you close your eyes and think back to just a decade ago and try to imagine what lengths you were going to get on the internet, watch a movie that is still in theaters, or send your mom a picture you just snapped of yourself to her home across the country you might be a bit baffled by it all. It used to be that the only way to get on the internet was through a land-based telephone line on a PC. You had to go to theaters to watch your movies. Sending a picture? The only way to do that was to put a stamp on it and drop it in the mailbox.
Its obvious that we've come far, but who would have imagined how far we'd come? Today we have telephones with no wires that not only fit in the palm of even the tiniest hands but can do all those things I've mentioned and so much more. Smartphones are a follow up to a technological revolution that started years ago. One can only wonder where we'll go from here.
