Media Players Such as VLC on Your Smartphone

Smartphones are handy little gadgets. They can act as your mobile phone as well as your own handheld computer.

Many smartphones already come with a range of multimedia features. You can watch certain videos and listen to some music file formats on your smartphone. Nevertheless you may be annoyed that the applications on your smartphone only play a limited range of file types. In this instance, you may require a multimedia application such as VLC which is preconfigured to play a range of audio and video files.

For instance, many smartphones can easily play the most popular audio files like MP3 and WMA. Although, you may have downloaded some OGG and RAM audio file formats, and your smartphone cannot automatically play these kinds of files. Similarly, your video watching experience may be hampered by the conflicting video file formats. Most smartphones can play MP4 and AVI video formats, but you may need to download an alternative media player to play XVID and DIVX movie files.
